Our children's ministry is called Impressions. The name comes from Deut. 6:6-7, where Moses has shared the law from God and says, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…” The goal of a Christ-centered family and the goal of a Christ-centered children’s ministry should be the same: to impress the truths of God on to the hearts of children. In keeping with this concept, our nursery and pre-school ministry is called "First Impressions," since as a church family this is our first opportunity to demonstrate and communicate the truths of Scripture. Grades K-3 is called "Positive Impressions," as we want to build on the foundation that has been laid with more truth and deeper understanding. Finally, grades 4-5 is called "Lasting Impressions," because we want to be intentional in the goal that our children have a personal relationship with Jesus and are not simply prepared for the challenges of middle-school, but the challenges of life and the reality of eternity.
